An amateur photographer, living in the south east of England, Ann has been taking photographs for fifteen years. Her main interest lies in documentary work.

Achievements

"Oyster Harvest" shortlisted in the category 'Bring Home the Harvest' in the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2021.

"Oyster Farming" Commended in the Royal Photographic Society bimonthly online members' competition, Exposure, March 2021.

Cleaning the Nets shortlisted and appears in the Portrait of Britain 2019 book.

Commended for "Cleaning the Nets" and "Crofting in Assynt" in the British Life Photography Awards 2018 (see under Exhibitions below).

Royal Photographic Society bronze medal (third place) in Documentary Photographer of the Year 2017 organised by the RPS and The Print Space, London.

Gold Medal for "Man Shed" and Highly Commended for "Michael in his Shed" in the Kent County Photographic Association Annual Print and PDI Exhibition 2016.

Awarded Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) in May 2016.

Awarded Credit of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (CPAGB) in November 2013.

'Commended' for Soft Boiled in the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2013 in the Food Portraiture section.

Awarded Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS) in April 2013.

Documentary Photographer of the Year 2017 at The Print Space, London E2 in November 2017 and Horsham Museum and Art Gallery in January 2018. Photo essays of five photographs by the six winners (three in colour and three in mono). Ann's essay of the fishermen at Hastings won 3rd place and RPS bronze medal in the mono section.
